Omaha Steaks Review
I don’t have a picture of the chocolate cake, the potatoes, the burgers, or the top sirloin steaks. The potatoes come with a sour cream, cheese, and bacon blend and when cooked right they were REALLY good. The burgers were also delicious, but I don’t recommend defrosting these using the water method as it will deplete the precious moisture from the burger patty. Moreover, the unexpected surprise was the chocolate cake. Normally, I’m not a fan of multiple chocolate layered deserts, but I have to honestly say this was one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever eaten.
Conclusion

The quality of Omaha Steaks has dropped considerably during the last couple of years. I’ll never order from them again and I used to be a huge fan of their filets. They weren’t trimmed correctly and they used to be smaller in diameter and thicker than they are now. Save your money.
The first time I ordered from Omaha I was very pleased with the quality of the food. I ordered chicken breasts, top sirloins and filet minions, and then also recieved the usual free burgers. The only complaint I would have with the first order would be the burgers, to me they were no different than the frozen burgers I can get at the local supermarket fr a fraction of the cost…but the were free then so I wasn’t going to complain…So then my next ordered I ordered top sirloins, filet mignons, bacon wrapped filet mignons, seafood stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallops…The top siroins were fine as were the filet mignons. The bacon wrapped scallops were good, but I can get the same quality scallops and wrap them in bacon without having any of it be frozen and for a smaller cost. The bacon wrapped filets though were not as enjoyable as I hoped. The bacon over powered the steak and even the steaks didnt seem like they were filet mignons. But my real complaint is about the seafood stuffed mushrooms. When eating one I could not taste a mushroom or the seafood stuffing…all I could taste was breading on what seemed to be a piece of rubber. To put it easily- They Were Awful. After that last order I highly doubt that I will be ordering again. Everything you offer I can buy the SAME QUALITY and BETTER PRICE at my local supermarket.
