It's almost Ironic that you post this. I have recently been diagnoased with Osteoporosis and It's really bad for my age, so the Dr was immediately going to start me on the Forteo shot but I asked for a second opinion and the dr referred me to a specialist, well the specialist took 6 tubes of blooed to test me for everything before we act on what to do. It turns out I am extremely vitamin D deficient, so we are doing an 8 weeks regimen of 50,000 IU's of vit.D a week and if my Vit D is up to where it's supposed to be, then I have to start taking the Forteo shot.

I suffer from Chronic constipation so I fully believe that I am not absorbing nutrition, and being that I have been suffering for years from this condition I believe it has significantly contributed to my Osteoporosis, along with the fact I had a full hysterectomy 10 years ago and I have not taken estrogen in 8 years.

We'll see how the Vit. D helps. I'll let ya know.
