Homemade Wine: Total lack of knowledge!

Hi guys...

Has anyone ever made wine? We're thinking of doing a batch but have some questions.

1. What are the best (easiest) for newbies? I prefer red wine-- this is supposed to be easier right? Or at least mistakes are less obvious because it's dark... that right?

2. Do you need to "brew" it (whatever it's called-- told you I am new at this!) somewhere cool? Or is room temperature ok?

3. Can you use recycled bottles or do you to buy all new?

4. Is it worth it? What are the chances it will turn out?

5. How much space do you need?

Any and all advice (connected to these questions or not) would be very veery welcome...

Cheers! (TIA)
