Does anyone have a Dodge Stratus? Or know of anyone that has one?

I found a 2004 SXT that is a bank repo. It has 21,000 miles, 2 door, looks brand new on the outside and inside, power windows/locks, CD player, automatic, still under warranty, etc... for $10,000. Earlier in the summer a 2005 Stratus 2door RT caught my eye. The RT's do have more options and both the new RT's and SXT's are between $17,000-$21,000....
It seems like a decent deal to me.....but then again I don't know Jack. I called and offered the bank $9,000 and I believe they're going to take it, of course the next big step is informing them that they'll have to finance that but I do know the woman over that at the bank so that shouldn't be a problem.
Does this sound good?

My Uncle is retired from Crystler/Dodge and I asked him what he thought about a stratus, he said they were good cars but didn't have a high re-sale value. The way it's going I'll be driving whatever I get next until the wheels falls off, so that's not a big issue.

Resale value shouldnt be concern when buying a car for 10k with 21k miles already.

Good job in finding a bank repo though. Thats a smart buying decision, considering a vehicle is a depreciating asset. Even better you are negotiating with the bank. The auto manafacturers are giving away cars at market prices, so the banks will really have to drop their prices as well, just to compete.

Thanks Jester! I'm not sure if I have formally congratulated you on having such a gorgeous son yet.......so CONGRATS! Jax is one handsome lil man! I knew you and C, being the hotties that you are, would have a beautiful baby.
I have applied for the loan thru the bank. I calculated the payments x the months and the intrest is less than $1,000 for the entire amount....which is pretty darn good compared to most loans.
I hope I get it! It really is a cute car and will MUCH cheaper on GAS, which is becoming absolutely insane BTW.

Hubby has a 2001.
He has 167,000 mi on it.
He has put maybe about $1,000.00 in repairs in it since he bought it in 2001.
It is a great car no problems with it most of repairs where routine up keep.
Good luck.
