I am in *total* shock... my twin is pregnant! As in Knocked up! As in has a bun in the oven! AND the sneaky thing is 10 weeks along already! All very, very, very, exciting I must say. TOO exciting... I am sworn to secrecy for 2 weeks and it is KILLING ME!She soooo got me too. We were chatting on MSN and she told me that her "friend at work was in a bit of a pickle as she will be 8.5 months preggers at her best friend's wedding and didn't know what to do." It took me a little bit to clue in to the ole "I have this friend..." trick. Then I thought she was shittin' me and totally didn't believe her. THEN she finally convinced me.

Oh wow! Congrats Auntie Mart! I can see how that would be a wee bit freaky having your twin have a baby that is technically half you. A little mini-Mart!:biglaugh: But you must be so excited! I know you've been tossing around the idea of having a baby in the future, and maybe seeing your sis go through it will give you as close of a first hand experience as you can have without having one yourself. I'm like you and totally chicken of all the pains of labor, and I wish I had a sis to watch her go through it. But alas, I was cursed with a sibling of the male persuasion. *sigh* Anyhow, that is completely fantastic (love how she tricked you too!), and please tell her I wish her a happy and healthy next seven months. At least you won't have to wait a full nine to meet your little niece or nephew.:)

Jana-- you have no idea HOW crazy! I would have been LESS surprised if WE were preggers (and that would have been a heluva shock). I never imagined they would... I am sooo very happy for them!

Hi Pam! You're totally right. I can very much imagine myself in her place. I am shocked but I am not horrified! Very excited actually. Progress??? Iincidently I am also following you too like a hawk now-- congrats!:))

Anyway her experiences are already illuminating. Like I now know that apparently we have hideously small veins which make blood drawing a real bitch; we are apparently fertile as all-get-out; and we're neurotic. Today's issue for the expectant mom is the fact that at 10 weeks the baby is morphing into whatever gender team it's going to be playing on. Sis is all worked up that this kid won't pick teams and they will have to deal with a hemaphrodite (and the $$ counselling s/he will need).:) Someone has issues. heh heh. I reassued her that even in the worse case scenario its daddy did alright living in gender ambiguity (zing) and iI nstructed her to keep the bean out of earshot of daddy's Neil Diamond collection to be safe during this gender assignment time (zingX2).

Hi Rhonda... haha. No sympathy pains. Ergo, I was totally caught off gaurd... tho in hindsight I recall how at Thanksgiving she turned down red wine. Should have clued in as she is such a lush. Must ask her if she knew then? I guess the only sympathy symptom has been that I have been eating halloween candy for 2.:) And Eat Mores at that! I don't even like them, and yet I continue to eat more. Then again, this is my usual Nov 1 routine involving chocolate leftovers.:) Sis says little bean quite likes chocolate and pasta, not so keen on baby spinach salads she used to live on.
