There's a new blog entry added:
want tubal reversal (http://www.hometalkers.com/node/22)
I am 31 yrs had tubal done when I was 21 as I had c-section with my second baby. I made the decission to do this bcause I had to have the c-sections for both and they only recomend 3, I was single and didn't want to lose my last chanse to had one with that special person. No one told me of the cost or anything at all to be sure I was 100% sure this is what I wanted. But now I wish they would have I did want at least one more baby at that time too. Now my only fear is that because I was so young and didn't ask too many questions what if the Dr. did more then just tie them?

Hi...
I can tell you this much..
Your Doctor only did his job..
He isn't allowed to do more..
Also..Doctors only clamp tubes now,
unless burnning them due to health troubles..
that is rare thou!!!
You can be tested if your worried..
They take an X-ray..They will see the clamps floating around, Since they fall off after time...Sometimes Women got PG, due to clamps falling off too early!
I am proff of life after a tubal reversal..
Costly, and a lot of work after...
Some ladies get PG right away, Some don't at all,...
or you can be me, and need a little help..
I had to take Fertilty pills, along with my body temps everymorning..
My hubby and I stopped trying, We just needed time to be us,
No watching the calendar, No stress of always wondering if it worked..
We were even thinking of going to our Doctor for Re-Direct..
Where the sperm is directed right to the egg...
But we weren't going to do that till after re-trying again..
Which was going to be a few months...
Our break was worth it...
I thought I had a sore back, and took a PG test at the Doctors office..
I couldn't believe it...neirther could DH..
Now we have a wonderful baby Girl (Sydney is her name)
Talk to your Doctor about what you want,
and your worry about "What if"...
Congrats on wanting a Reversal..
after our Journey, and our 4 1/2 Month Old...
Its was all worth it..
And maybe one day...MAYBE...
We might try again...
(I do want a little Boy)
Ha Ha
Any Questions, feel free to ask..
I'll do my best to answer them...
I'm in Ontario, so I don't know much about the U.S.A.
Except from what others have told me..
Everything is the same, just shorter waiting lists..
I hear Americans have Great Doctors who do the Sugery...
I use to be a memeber on a board to help us ladies
with our Journey..
Eirther they are waiting for the surgery,
wanting it, or had it, but still trying...
a few have even had babies..
(Like myself) and they are all sweet ladies..
Good Luck
:)

I am wondering how you knew that most doctors use clamps and don`t burn the tubes and whether or not that applies to all provinces? Also I came across a website that I can`t find anymore where a woman said she had her tubes tied in Saint John, NB and I tried to get information but was unable, do you know anything about tubal reversal doctors on the east coast? I know that there some failures due to certain conditions such as having it done following a c-section, depending on your age, etc... Thanks for any information.

Hi there mommytwotimes. Welcome to Home Talkers. You might want to try posting your question over at Baby Talkers (http://www.babytalkers.com/forums) - it is the sister site of here, which is all about ttc, pregnancy, and parenting! Good luck.
