In the past few months, we've begun to notice our cat losing a lot of weight. At first we thought it was just in comparison to our big baby boy, but we soon realized it wasn't and that she was really skinny. Poor little thing is a feather and weighs less than 7 lbs. She also has diarrhea all the time and is ALWAYS hungry. She runs to the kitchen if anyone is in there and is constantly scrounging for food. She will basically eat anything you give her.
I took her to the vet again the other day and they took some blood. The dr was convinced she had a thyroid problem, but all of the tests came back normal. She did have bacteria in her stool so I was given an antibiotic to give her daily. Now they are telling me they think she has pancreatitis. I am bringing my girl into the vet this a.m. to stay overnight for a day or so. She needs to be hooked up to an IV. :(
Not that it's ever a right time, but this is really bad timing. We are going away on Sunday for 9 days and I feel terrible to leave her if she is sick. My grandpa is going to watch her and I know he will take good care of her, but I feel guilty. :( Please keep my little girlie in your thoughts that she recovers from this quickly or atleast they can get everything under control so that she is more comfortable.
