I'm trying to think of a VERY easy concoction to serve to my girlfriends at a lingerie party I'm having this coming Friday night.
This is very easy. I just thought it up. :biglaugh: Do you think Hawaiian Punch with Vodka and a splash of grenadine would be edible?
:feed: or :gag: or
Any other suggestions for a red or pink very easy drink? I want to spend time socializing not making drinks in the kitchen. And I'm going with a Valentines' theme for the party.

I bet it would be ok, but I am not much for Hawaiian Punch. Maybe an alternative would be something like those V-8 Splash drinks? I like those soooo much better than Hawaiian Punch. Maybe b/c people used to make stuff out of it in college, and I vomited it up once. Ha! :gag:
If you do make that-- I think real pineapple slices in the bottom of it would be good! :yum:

Hey Rhonda
if you have a jello jigglers heart mold--or a heart shaped cookie cutter you can make jello jigglers but instead of water use alcohol. we would scale it so if it calls for 2 cups water, we would use 1 cup water 1 cup vodka/everclear!

How about doing cosmopolitans but instead of calling them cosmos... call them something sexy. I can think of a few obscene ones but nothing cutsie. LOL! And as far as cosmos go... you can mix a bunch up and put it in a pitcher... instead of mixing each drink.

I like the idea of cosmos. They are good and easy to make a lot of at once and put in a pitcher like Brenda said. Another idea would be frozen strawberry daiquiris. :lick:

For a non alcoholic drink, you can make shirley temples.

ALL great ideas!!!! Thank you all so much. It's party day today. Guests arrive at 7:00. We went out to eat last night because the maid came yesterday. I had a glass of wine with dinner which made me fall straight into bed when we got home.
Over dinner Carl was like "why do you feel you have to mix each drink separately -- just make a pitcher." Duh! I should've thought of that. When the pitcher (or 2) runs out, I have plenty of wine. Everyone drinks anything after their first one. People love my fuzzy navels. But I wanted a pink or red drink.
I wish I had a cosmopolitan pitcher. But the girlfriends tonite are young and wild and crazy and anything goes with them! Even beer! LOL!
I'll post over the weekend what drink I decided to too. Carl said the Hawaiian Punch with just vodka might be a little :gag: . He said I should at least add ginger ale to it. Which we have on hand.
Wish I had Cosmo glasses now too. That would be a cool V-Day drink. *sigh*. I do have cranberry juice on hand . . . can I serve Cosmos in a clear plastic solo punch cup?
And I guess I could just put the strawberries on the brownies Carl baked last night.
Just using this post to think out loud here.
Shirley Temple is Sprite and what else?

Thank you jana! We have that!
And Carl said we have Cointreau -- now to pick up some limes and we have everything I need for Cosmopolitans this evening too! :bday:

It was fun -- but I poured out a WHOLE pitcher of cosmopolitans last night. Down the drain. Not ONE person in the bunch wanted a cosmo. Two wanted water only (always), one girl LOVED the Rhonda's Passion Punch mixture of Hawaiian Punch, Ginger Ale and vodka, one wanted Coke, and the rest wanted wine only!!! :vent: I think I might just stick to wine from now on. It's always a hit.

Glad the soiree was fun... sorry I didn't get to this before hand. But, Sangaria is nice too... I make a sorta version (my own made up version) of it quite often for parties and it's always a hit. A bottle of red (you can go with a cheapie one), some fruit juice(avoid anything too pulpy as it makes it look murky-- how do you spell murcky? murkey? You know what I mean), tons of slices of citrus fruit (lemon, limes and oranges), and a splash of cranberry vodka (or any of the fruity ones or plain). It's delish! And it looks fancy in a clear glass pitcher with all the fruit. And you can sip it all evening as the juice cuts down on the potency of the alcohol which is important for hangover avoidance.:)
