1. What was your "song" at your wedding? (your first dance together...your special song, etc.? )

Our first dance was to "I'll Always Love You" but not by Taylor Dayne. It was a Salsa version by Salsero Tito Nieves.

Our special song was the last song of the night, "Amazed" by Lonestar.

2. Why did you choose this song?

(first dance song) Both DH and I are Salsa instructors and we wanted our first dance to be a Salsa song. We couldn't find one that was slow enough and beautiful until one day in NYC we heard "I'll Always Love You" and we looked at eachother right away and just KNEW that had to be our first dance song.

(special song) Every word in this song is just beautiful! We fell in love with it after hearing it at our friends wedding 4 months before ours.

Our song as a couple is Dream Weaver....Jason said the first time he saw me he said there was stars around me like the scene from Waynes World...remember that movie:crazy: but what ever it was still kinda cute.

Our first dance & special song is "My One and Only Love" by Sting. I think the song was done by someone else earlier, but a big reason we chose this song as our first dance is because Sting is our favorite. We went to his concert in college when we were dating and we've both always loved him. He was a huge influence for DH when he started his band in highschool and continued through college. Anyway.....we heard this song by him and thought it was perfect...the melody, the lyrics, everything. :)

Our song is "The Power of Two" by the Indigo girls. It felt so right dancing with him to that song that night and Noah and Cameron love it when we do it in the kitchen (though they both want to join in).
We really considered dancing to "Let's Get it On" lol (which actually was playing when my mother danced with my FIL :biglaugh: )

I put the CD in and picked here up and we danced all over the house. We had to have that as our first dance at our wedding.

Doug & I disagree big time on this issue, he always wanted our song to be You may be right, by Billy Joel:eek: , and yes I always say he is a lunitic LOL. And I always wanted, Forever and For always by Shania Twain. So you can see we are both very different.
Brittany and I also have a favorite song together, it's Christmas Angel LOL. And Logan & I have our favorite which is Life is a highway :)

Our first song was a mistake, I put down the wrong track number. Thankfully it was still a slow song. Hubby & I looked at each other, then our dj (a family friend), shrugged & danced away.

We really don't have a special song except for maybe "Shameless" by Garth Brooks. Hubby used to play that for me at receptions.

We like to find songs that fit moments or we can have fun with. Hubby was playing me the Brooks & Dunn song "One Hot Mama" on night when he was trying to get me in the mood. Another one I have fun with is "Dontcha" by the Pusycat Dolls. Hubby's theme song, of sorts, has always been "Mr Boombastic" or "Candyman" by Shaggy.

such cute stories! Hubby and I's song is Butterlyz by Alicia Keys. He had just bought the first Keys album and on his way home from an amazing date he heard it and said it made him think of me and he even got teary eyes. He played the song for me the next day and I thought it was pretty too. It just ended up being the song for special moments for us so I made it our first dance song at our wedding reception.

We didn't have a "first dance" at our wedding so there is no "song" from that.

But now (20 some odd years later) our song is probably "Where Have You Been" by Kathy Mattea... I swear it makes me cry and hubby found it and first played it for me years ago!
