I just bought the Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-cup programmable coffeemaker (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=ur2&tag=weddingtalker-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&path=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2F B0009VELUA%2Fqid%3D1138755584%2Fsr%3D8-3%2Fref%3Dpd_bbs_3%3Fn%3D507846%26s%3Dkitchen%26v% 3Dglance).
It was awesome for like a week and then it just suddenly stopped working. It wouldn't turn on. DH said he read a couple of people's reviews on line that said the same thing. All of the other reviews were great. I guess I got a lemon. So, I returned it to the store today but instead of replacing it, I got a store credit. I was afraid the same thing would happen and I didn't want to have to keep returning it. Does anyone else have this coffee maker? How does yours work?

My sis has one... not sure if it is this exact one? But it's a Cuisinart, programmable. Her's works fine... and has for the 2 years or so they have had it. I find it to be slowish, not slow, but my cheapie is faster. Then again, I am thinking that when it comes to coffee, fast is not good. I also love that hers beeps when coffee is done. I would buy one in a heart beat.

That's funny C. I just bought mine Monday afternoon. I read the same reviews but loved the style of the maker. It sounds as though they have decent customer service so I went ahead and bought it. I'll let you know if mine dies.

Hey Jen, how is the coffee maker? I've been using those stupid coffee singles (they are like tea bags) and I miss having real coffee!! I am seriously considering buying another cuisinart since I have a store credit, I'm just afraid of it busting again.

C- I love it. It's still working great. I would give it another chance.

ETA: We brew at LEAST 2 pots a day so it isn't a light use machine here.
