Ideas for kitchen sink

My kitchen is on the "waiting to be remodeled" list. SO for now in front of the sink I have hung a curtain to cover that area. Does anyone have a temporary fix to this. We are putting on a new roof this year so kitchen will have to wait till next year but its so ugly and I hate it. But I can't re-do it yet. Any creative ideas out there?

Many country kitchens dating back to the turn of the 20th century used small curtains instead of doors to conceal cookware, and colorful fabric added a dash of warmth and texture to this recipe. To create this charm, remove cabinet doors beneath your sink and skirt the open areas with gingham panels or a vintage fabric pattern like a tablecloth check.


I found this on the web but no photos so at least I know I'm not the only one who does this. My kitchen is done in Americana type things.
