I am in my cousins wedding in June. I am going to have a party at a community center that was recently built. It is beautiful and has a full kitchen, bathroom facilities and lots of seating. Well I am having it May5th...its a Sunday and I am thinking of having it at 10am and have it be a brunch. Does anyone have any ideas for meal planning....punch ideas.....I thought danish, coffee, tea, pastries of some sort. Her colors are deep red and silver. She was born on Valentines Day so she wants to kepp it all red and hearts....which makes decorating easy cause its so soon after Valentines Day and we are picking up lots of decorations.Any ideas?

How about some tea sandwiches, fruit platters, baked french toast casserole....
As for punches-You could do a tropical punch or Shirley temple which is red.

Nice! Hmmm... croissants? Different cheeses? Chocolate covered strawberries (for any occasion!)
My mom makes a strawberry rhubarb punch which is amazing. You have to make your own rhubarb juice tho... but it's essentially a litre of rhubarb juice (which you make by boiling down some rhubarb), crushed strawberries, pineapple juice, and 7 up-- and she floats frozen berries and oranges in it to keep it chilled.
We're doing a shower for my friend next weekend -- the theme is a martini bar.:) We're just doing finger foods mostly... fruit trays, veggies, dips and oodles of sweets.:) Fun isn't it!
You guys doing dorky games? (which we are and I love, BTW:))

HI!!!
I think we are doing the games....I found bride bingo on the computer and I think like door prizes...I like the food ideas....they sound good. I want it to be different than just plain ole coffee and donuts.
Mommy~ How do you make the french toast casserole? That sounds good...
Meliz~ I think I could try the punch. It doesn't sound too hard. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Bumping this up for some help!!!
You could always do some heart shaped finger sandwiches. Just get a heart shape cookie cutter and have some fun. I am not very good with planning stuff so that is all I got. :shy:
