When you go to a drivethru.....

DH and I were wondering this today. We went to the drive thru of Taco Bell for lunch (I know, bad!) and we always park the car and eat in the car. We wondered if other people do that. When you go to a fast food drivethru, do you bring the food home or wherever and eat there or do you park the car and eat in the car?? Just curious. :)

More often than not we keep moving if we go to a drive thru. If I'm just doing a quickie lunch for ds and myself we'll either go home or to the park.

We normally take it to the house. DH likes to sit at the table with every meal b/c he is SO messy!! lol

I have gone out and taken it home, and I'm sure I've parked - but mostly I always buy something I can eat while I'm driving and that's what I do. I only did fast food when I _had_ to eat and was in a rush, so parking to eat wouldn't have done much for me.

We take it home unless we are travelling and don't want to drive while we eat.

I honestly can't remember the last time... we should again sometime! There's soemthing classic about eating your burger in the car... just like in the old days of A&W (do you have those there??). Classic! You should try it SS... there's something kitchy and so '50s about it...

99% of the time tho, when we get real food in drive thru we take it home. Mainly because I am a ketchup fiend and it's hard to properly douse your food in the car.:) In the summer we often get our ice cream fix at McD's drive thru... and we just keep cruising. In winter our biggest drive thru use would be for coffee, but we have discovered that it's much quicker to actually park and go inside. Canadians are so lazy... they'd rather wait for 15 mins in line than walk inside and get served in 5. :)

Oh Meliiz trust me us Americans can sit in a drive-thru lane just as long.:lol:We usually don't eat in the car. (I just bought a new Pontiac Sunfire) so no food in there. I don't want that fast food funk smell in my car.:sick: I hit a coffee drive thru every morning. Its the coolest thing. Its called Coffeemania. Similar to Starbucks but WAY better......I think they add something addictive to the cup....cause I NEED it. We also have an A & W drive in in the town I work in. YUM YUM....

My gosh yeah! You can do drive thru beer/liquor stores (which seems stupid to me), drive thru banking, drive through drug store and drive thru convenience stores. And ALL the fast food chains (Wendy's, KFC, Harveys, etc etc) have drive thrus.

We eat while driving. Not being in a hugely populated area probably helps with that though. Not as much traffic and danger of driving with one hand.

All sorts of responses here . . . I eat in the car only if I'm by myself and it's raining and unsafe to drive while eating. Otherwise, I eat while driving and am usually done by the next stop! :p

Omg! I love A&W!! We have one about five minutes from my dad's house! My dad knows the owners and I use to get free food all the time. I can't wait till they open up for the summer!

if we go through the drive-thru we usually take it home. Unless we are on the road coming back home or going down state, then we eat in the car.
