How Often Do You Run the Dishwasher?

How often do you guys run the dishwasher? I run it about every other day which seems like a lot to me. It's only DH and I, but we do eat at home a lot. I use the dishwasher for just about everything, but I often wash the big stuff by hand. Just curious what other people's routines were like. I actually wonder if I'll be able to use it at all once we've got all 3 of the kids we want to have... that would be a lot of dishes!

I run it about every other day, sometimes daily. Like you, I put pretty much everything in there. I don't have the time to sit and really handwash dishes, although I do prewash everything that goes in.

Once in the morning and once in the evening....My boys eat alot and go thru dishes. I have started cooking at home more so I use alot of dishes too.Seems alot.....I handwash the pots and pans.

At home (parents) once per day... usually at night. Here with my flatmates we don't have one.

We used to wash everything by hand until we had our son. :) Dh still mostly washes things he uses by hand, usually right away if he can. I try to at least rinse things off & then run the dishwasher. I probably run it every couple of days...it takes me a day or so to get around to unloading the clean dishes, and then the dirties pile up on the counter...AAACK! But I have much more time to put some dishes in the dishwasher (with one hand) than I do to wash each thing (with both hands).

We run ours about every 4 days or so. But, I wash all of our pots, pans and most utensils by hand. So basically we have plates, bowls, glasses and silverware in the dishwasher. We use paper plates 2-3 nights per week and wash our glasses every night by hand so we dont' have as much each night.

We run ours about every other day, sometimes daily. We put everything we can in there.

everyday - I crank it up right before I go to bed and then unload first thing in the am (usually). I put everything in that I can! We go through so many cups and utensils, plus I make breakfast lunch and dinner almost everyday.

For us right now we run it about every 3 days I think. Although with an 8 week old baby we aren't exactly cooking a lot right now lol! My mom ran the dishwasher every night when all 3 of us girls were at home - so it is still doable. Although I think she hand washed a lot of the pots/pans.

I run it every night before I go to bed and unload it in the morning.
I could not live without the dishwasher what a great thing.

I only run it once every 4-5 days or so unless we just have an abnormally large meal or something. We eat out quite a bit though. I LOVE THE DISHWASHER!
