What are the wedding colors? Does she & furutre-hubby share a common hobby? Anythign else that might spark an idea?

*They could be angels and have wings and a wand.
*You could have them carry those hoops over their heads that are decorated. It looks like half a hula hoop that has flowers wrapped around it.
Katy has some good questions to start with, and made me think of a ton of others:
How did the couple meet? Do they have any foreign heritage they want to incorporate? Are they doing a fall theme? Any kind of theme? Is it an indoor or outdoor wedding? Traditional church wedding or destination beach wedding? What are their jobs? Any significance to November?
I could see a number of things being carried by bridesmaids, but if you/she came up with a theme you might have some luck thinking of really unique ideas (say they met at Mardi Gras; the girls could all carry/wear elaborate masks...for a beach wedding, they could carry conch shells...etc.)
They could carry candles (battery-powered ones so nobody gets burned?), framed photos of the couple, maybe crosses if they're religious...

They are not really religious. The colors are wine and forest green. My dress will be the green and the other 2 girls are in wine. The men are wearing white tuxes(not my idea:confused: ) but anyhoo... Her flowers are all set ...she is carrying a hand tied bouquet of red roses with a few calla lilies poking out the top. The lilies were her grandma's fav. and they are a tribute to her memory. I thought we could carry calla lilies hand tied with wine colored ribbon. but she wanted to do something a little different. I will mention your ideas above to her. They are clever....

What if you each carried a repigious item? Since you'll have to hold her bouquet at some point you should have something small. So my idea is to have you carry lilies wrapped with a rosary instead of ribbon (or along with ribbon); also a wine colored rosary would really make it stand out. The other girled sould carry a single flower (maybe a red rose to tie in with the brides bouqet & also signify the couple). Along with their flower 1 could carry a bible & the other could carry a cross (or some other religious items, I'm not big on all of them).

What about a winter-type bouquet of ever green/berries? Not totally different than usual, but certainly appropriate for the season....
or maybe a candle or a lantern?
