and I can't wait!!! I love to watch my kids play in the ocean. I swear it's therapeutic.
We'll be leaving on Sunday. My parents, brother and his family are all going. 10 people total (4 children).
Any good meal ideas. I mean, knock your socks off kind of meals that could feed 10 people. I'm not talking lasagna here. When we're together we love to try new things so bring 'em to me guys.

That's cool! I love the beach :)
And about food... well a typical good food for that is spanish omelette (potato omelette), which is delicious and simple to make, and yes you can feed a lot of people with that.
You can also fry red or green peppers, they're delicious in bread.
A big variety of fruit is good too, it's healthy, light, refreshing and you don't have to cook it.
What else... mmm you can prepare pasta salads or russian salads...
Since you'll be by the sea you'll probably have a big variety of fish and seafood to buy...
I can't think of anything else at the moment...

We always like to bbq at the beach when we go camping. It is easy to marinate meats and chicken at home. Put them in a ziplock bag, and then just pop them on the grill.
Have a fun time with everyone.

Oooooo! I'm so jealous! I absolutely LOVE going to the beach and haven't been in what seems like FOREVER!!! It's definitely therapy for me (so you'd think people would be paying me to go!?!) :D
Honestly - I'm much calmer when I get to go at least once a year - something about the sound of the waves just does my soul good!
HAve fun and tell us ALL about it when you get back!
No meal ideas, but have a blast! :D

I will. We really tend to take it for granted though. We only live an hour away. Most of our trips are day trips. It's going to be really nice to be there for a week though.

Good for you for taking advantage of the closeness RED! So many times even when you're close to something, you do completely ignore and take it for granted - but it sounds like you guys really enjoy it and have a good time!
Can't wait to hear how wonderful it all is!:elephant:

You're telling me - we live FIVE minutes from the beach - yes, literally - and we rarely go. I know, that is pretty sad. I think when little J is a little older we will start going on the weekends. I can't in good conscience deprive my son of growing up going to the beach since it's sooooo close. :)
