This may be a shocker to those of you that know me but when we move---however long that may be-- I want to go to college to be a chef.
I have actually learned to cook pretty darn well in the past few months (no job, no internet, no life :D ) and am seriously considering this. Does anyone know a chef? I heard the classes were pretty hard.....any info would be appreciated. TIA

A friend of mine went to cooking school, but she doesn't work in that field right now. A few years ago I helped cater a few parties with her (really I just helped with prep, serving & cleanup...). I have no idea whether her classes were hard or not, though.

I think you should go for it! Or at least come cook for me. :D

I think it's great. If things were slightly different for me, I'd go to pastry school, in a cinch!

As far as the classes being hard. There will be some math, and of course you have advanced food safety, which is science - but I think you'll do just fine.
