I just found the best smelling candles. I work next door to JoAnn Fabrics and they had their Fall candle jars marked down to $3-4 each. I got one called Merlot, one is pumpkin latte and the other is gingered date. They are maroon, dark sage green and orange. They are all burning together on my kitchen table and have been for about an hour. Oh my goodness they smell awesome!!! Just thought I'd share in case you like fall scented candles....

do you remember what brand these were? I LOVE scented candles and it is really hard to find ones that actually work. Bath and Body Works sells a line from Henry Bendel that is amazing but they are so expensive...same with the Williams Sonoma line.

I like candles. I have so many of them along with tarts. I usually buy the Yankee Candle brand, but candy buying can get expensive.
The scents that you mentioned sounds yummy.

My favorite candles are PartyLite. Long lasting and smell wonderful. You can get them through home parties on eBay.

I just bought a candle... at WalMart of all places. It was part of their holiday dishes/giftware collection (forget what it's called, but the accessories are all mauve). Anyway, it is hands down, the nicest candle ever. And right now they are 75% off. They had one in citrus and one in herb.... I got the citrus. It smells great and burns really nice.

Has anyone tried the Reed Difusers? They are a small bottle of oil I guess and they have these reeds you stick in there, and the aroma goes up the reed and threw out the whole room. I really love them, but they can be expensive. I discovered them when I went to Michales one day looking for Pot pouri, ( or however you spell that LOL).
When we first bought the house upstate I noticed that there was a musty smell to the house when you first walk in. Of course I realised it's cause it's closed up for a whole week sometimes 2 weeks before I get there and open windows, or burn candles. So I bought the Difusers for each room, now when we open the front door of the house we always get such a nice aroma. It's safe to leave unlike a burning candle.

same question from me too -- with a little one in the house, I'd like something "safe".

I am a candle freak. In the Spring I have tons of them piled on every window sill and burn them while the windows are up. The breeze blowing in makes the whole house smell yummy. My favorites are made at the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, TN. They are great. I also like Glade candles, their scent seems to last awhile also.

I love Yankee Candles and Warm Glow Candle Co. The latter I found at a boutique like store in a snickerdoodle scent which smells like fresh baked cake! Yummy! I shop online for most things and I found this website where they have both the Yankee Candle shop and Linens 'n Things (who also sells Yankee and you can use the online coupon.)

I bought four of the reed diffusers in Germany -awesome I love 'em. But I couldn't find the same ones in the US. However I did find one scent I liked at Pier 1 of all places - its the blue colored one. Good Luck!

I gotta say I love the big candles they sell in Michaels. To me they are juyst as good as Yankee Candles. Well Yankee lasts longer, but the aroma is great.
