Does anyone out there, whether you work or not, make any $ on the side doing something unconventional? By this I mean - selling on eBay, having garage sales, selling homemade crafts, stuffing envelopes, mystery shopping, etc?

I write trivia books. http://www.bookofeverything.com/

I would also love to get into the ebay thing too... we have so much stuff I just want to get rid of! Hub sold some BMX bike frames a couple years ago, and made a killing. We should have got into the retro bike-selling business then-- thought of scouring bike shops in rindky dink towns and getting bargoons on old stock, but we never found the initiative...

I have sold on e-bay. Its fun but takes a little time and organization. I am thinking of doing a gift basket business. I made one for a girl at work at Christmas for secret Santa and everyone loved it.

Thanks, C. Site needs updating.:)

Heather-- it does require superhuman organizational skills, doesn't it? To keep track of everything, addresses and shipping, etc.

Another good income-getter-- working at elections! My aunt did that this year and it was worth her while...

Has anyone ever mystery shopped? This one intrigues me....

I signed up for it a while ago, got some possible "assignments" through email about eating at certain restaurants, but never actually did it.

I know this isn't really unconventinal, but I sell Avon. It's really cheap start up. ($10) And you make 50% of what you sell in the first 2 months. After that it's what you make of it. And I am not a very organized person. You just open a web office on their web site and the rest is really easy. I covered most of my christmas that way!!

I'm an Arbonne lady. That's not very unconventional - but I'm still working on the pole-dancing! :biglaugh: ROTF!!! kidding!
