View Full Version : How often do you do laundry?

I seem to constantly need to do a load of laundry, but I don't. For some reason, I find it more appealing to wait until all of our baskets are overflowing and I have to do like 10 loads at one time. This usually happens about every week or week and a half. I know I need to be doing it more often. You don't know how many times I hear my husband complaining that he has no underwear left. That is usually my hint to get the washes going. ;)

Once every 1.5 weeks or so... hub and I do our own, which saves many a fight as he lets his really pile up. Plus it saves my clothes (I am very picky about what gets put in the dryer). Incidently, as "democratic" as we are w/ laundry, I am always the one to buckle and wash table linens and bedding. I think he would change the bed 2X a year if it was up to him. Gross boy.:)

Daily! OK, I'm not that good, but I try every other day or so...between the 4 of us, we have TONS of clothes.

About once a week. We do the kids clothes together, and then our clothes together. We do about 5 loads a week.

I'd say every 3 or 4 days. With 2 VERY active preteen boys they get dirty so fast.

Whenever it seems necessary... which for us rolls around about 2-3 times a week. It's been a lot more often since DS was born. I had no idea how many times he would pee on his blankets and outfits. :) It's upped my laundry workload for sure. :)

Ugh, that's a sore spot for me.
I do at least one load a day and it still gets piled up. I stuff the darn thing full too. Between Tommy and Darek wearing 2 outfits a day (work/school/ball practice/home) It's a never ending battle......not to mention all the darned towels and bedding I do weekly :argh:

I try to do laundry twice a week but HAVE to do it once a week as all our laundry baskets are absolutely overflowing.

Probably ever 2-3 days. To me, it's preferable to keep things clean than to have a HUGE amount to do all at one time. Plus it allows me to take the time to do rugs, comforters, etc. more often without feeling overwhelmed.

I do laundry everyday. Sometimes two or three times a day.
Every once in a while, I don't do laundry for the day.

Daily, but we use cloth diapers too. I figure as long as I'm doing laundry, might as well do another load. Plus, I don't have that many clothes and the baby regularly spits up on my clothes and hers. Hubby does his own clothes, but I handle all the household laundry as well... sheets, towels, cleaning cloths, etc. I feel like I'm constantly doing laundry.

Not counting diapers (which get washed about every 2 days), I do laundry 4 times a week. I made a schedule for myself which has worked out really well for the past few months. I wash ds's clothes on Mondays, towels on Tuesdays, my clothes on Thursdays, and sheets on Fridays. Rugs get washed about once a month, and dh does his own laundry unless I have some extra time and washer space. :)

How did you manage that?! T has done "laundry" if you can call it that a couple of times. he leaves his clothes in the washer after they are washed either until they start to stink and I rewash them or he leaves them in the dryer until I take them out I won't dare let him touch my clothes, stained up sweats that I wear around the house get hung up and good clothes are wadded into drawers :fmad:

I dunno, he just always has, since we first met and he didn't have anybody to do it for him. Actually, I think he used to do his laundry as a kid, too, so he just never stopped. :)
