How do you *really* feel about your inlaws or SO's parents?

I get along pretty well with my in-laws. We aren't "best friends" but we can do things together rather easily. We have created our boundaries and they don't get crossed. They know that as far as the kids go our rules trump all others.
:argh: about sums it up. :)

Doug does not have a huge family, and I get along with all his family, sometimes better then I get along with Doug LOL. Kidding. But Doug gets along great with my giant very large, always have something to say family  . They love him, they always have, and he loves them, I hope LOL...

Love them, they love me. They call me "the daughter they never had." :) My MIL can sometimes grate on my nerves after extended visits -- she can be, shall we say, earnest, in everything she does. A little high strung at times... but generally, she's awesome and we do get along wonderfully.

 Jana.....I know the feeling.
I am very happy for everyone that does get along w/ their IL's or SOs parents.
I love T's Dad. He is a good person and I trust him completely. His Mom is a different story. I don't trust her, respect her, or like her. I think she is a bum and a mooch and I would rather someone beat both my eyes shut than try to take advantage of me. I only go around her maybe 1-2 times a year, which is 1-2 times too many in MHO. She once told me that I had to put up with her since I am with her son. :biglaugh: I love Tommy but they are a package deal, I hope the door doesn't hit him where the good Lord split him.

Mine are pretty good. They are there when we need them but also keep their distance and let us run our household the way we see fit.
