Is anyone planting anything yet or planning on putting your gardens together?
What are you going to plant?

My daughter and I have some green beans already sprouting, and we planted wildflowers, flower bulbs, and will plant some sunflowers today.

It hasn't been raining much, so I hope our plants grow.

Here in Tennessee, it's sort of a "rule of thumb" that you don't plant anything until after April 15. The weather tends to jump back and forth from freezing to warm, freezing to warm until that point and you really take a chance of planting things and having them die in a frost. Tonight, for instance, we're expecting snow!!! I have looked at my beds though, and have already made plans so that the first DECENT day (not totally freezing) I'll at least get them cleaned out so that I'll be ready to plant. The bad thing is that the mint and peonies, buttercups and such are already poking their heads out of the ground. I need to go get some mulch or something to cover them because they don't need to come out yet! Silly flowers!

I wish we could grow some of the types of flowers that you can there :(.

Its about 10 degrees outside and snowing so I haven't thought about flowers yet. :biglaugh: But I will get the urge around April but I have to wait until May when there is no more threat of frost.

So, since it is getting closer to your planting times Susan and Heather, have you thought of what you will be planting?

I have some ideas but they are only in my mind. We are buried under 3 feet of snow and surprise surprise its freakin' snowing again:rolleyes: It really gets old. I want to try some raised flower beds this year around front of my house. Give it some nice curb appeal. I have lots of daffodils and glads that have been coming up nicely for a few years so I think I'll thin them out and replant somewhere else. I will defiantly show pictures if this stinkin rotten snow will go away. Then you can see what I mean.

Well I just planted all my herbs, of course I started them indoors. I have basil, parsley, rosemary, chives & thyme. All all are doing well except my rosemary, it seem to not want to sprout, but I am hopeful.
