Has anybody ever heard of a potpourri that you put in boiling water to make the scent go threw out the house???
Now that we have the wood burning stove Upstate we bought a cast iron tea pot that you are supposed to keep water in to keep the air moist. And the guy at the store told me to buy some water soluable potpourri and the smell with go threw out the house. I did put some cininamon sticks in the water and it does smell nice but i really want to try some of that potpourri..
Any ideas?

I throw some cloves and cinnamon sticks in boiling water and it smells really good. I'm not sure about the potpourri though. Maybe check at Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics. What about liquid potpourri?

My mother used to put regular potpourri in a saucepan w/ water and keep it on simmer. So, you could probably but any of the loose potpourri you find in stores. It worked great and filled the house.

Thanks Girls I am gonna give it a try this weekend while we are up there. Heather, I like the idea of the cloves, I put cinnamon sticks in the water already and it smelled so yummy, but now I am gonna try the cloves too. I'll let you know how it turns out..
