I'm looking for help on how to start working out. I'm a little out of shape and not over weight. I always feel tired but have no energy to start a workout even though I really want to. I know once I start I will feel better. Second question is working out in the morning better then in the afternoon? I figure if I can wake up, work out, I’ll feel better during the day. Looking for any idea and help.

First thing you need to figure out is what type of exercise do you enjoy? Biking, running/walking, going to a gym, etc. If you do something you enjoy chances are better that you will stick with it longer.
Second, you should work out when its best for you. Most people say morning, but I have more energy and time in the evenings.

I have always heard that it's best to workout 1 hour before you eat your biggest meal of the day. It kick starts your digestive tract and metabolism which breaks down the food faster.
I hate water but try drinking ICE cold water. The body uses so many calories warming the water up to the temp it needs to be for digestion.
Many things may be making you tired. Thyroid issues, low/high blood pressure, high/low blood sugar, anemia, etc.... Try taking a multi-vitamin for a couple weeks but if it doesn't help I would see a doc just to have routine bloodwork ran.
Think of what you enjoy....reading, listening to music, watching tv, talking, etc... and find a way to mix it in w/ your workout. IPODS are easy to take along to the gym or while walking, you can read a book/magazine while walking on a treadmill, bring a portable dvd player w/ you and watch your favorite movie, or bring a friend and gossip while exercising....you could also get a headset for your cell/phone and talk that way.
Make sure you stay hyderated and start slowly.

Energy supplements are never the answer for true long term health and fitness.
