Maybe just air your house out ie. open all the windows. I do know that putting baking powder in your fridge (in those special fridge boxes they sell at the grocery store) helps with the odor control.

C: I think if you boil the egg less, it smells less. I have heard that as soon as the egg is cooled (3 minutes for soft or 5 for hard) you immediately put the cooked egg in cold water. That should minimize the stinky egg smell. Other than that, lighting a candle(s) helps with the stench I find... of eggs or fish or anything else stinky.

ahh, good tip Meliz. I will have to try that. Thanks!

Nicole, I have the baking soda in my fridge, but you know I never really thought it worked too well. Does it seem to work for you?

C~Is it a new box of baking soda? I find that when it gets a little old, it doesn't absorb the odor. I try to change out a box every 6 weeks. The box says 3 months but I think at the 2 month mark, it's pretty much done.

Meliz, I was just re-reading this thread and wanted to ask if you meant "as soon as the egg is cooked" (not cooled) ???

Thanks!
