Easiest thing I've found is to run vinegar (white) through the machine to clean it (then of course rinse a few times) to clean it. For the pot - swirl ice and salt in the pot and it will clean it really, really well! That's what they use in restaurants!

Yes, Vinegar works really well, but like she said you have to rinse it well too.
When I was waitressing that is exactly how we cleaned the coffee pots. Spot on TurtleHead!

I just cleaned mine a few weeks ago. Pour 12 cups white vinegar into your water reservoir and let it run through. Then do the same with cold water at least two times, to clean the smell of vinegar completely out. It should work great after that!
