Dyson Vacuum Cleaners

Anyone else have a Dyson? We got the Dyson Animal several years ago and it has been successful for the most part....however, recently it seems to be starting to lose suction. My husband thinks we just need to clean the filter. Has this happened to anyone else? They claim it NEVER loses suction.

I haven't used it but is there some sort of guarantee? If its never supposed to lose suction then maybe they should have to replace it.
