Flat Iron

Since we were talking about DeAnna curling her hair with a flat iron.... I want a new one for my birthday.

What is a good, decently priced one?

we use Hot tools at the salon...

This one is horrible and the handle breaks easily...we went thru 3 in about 2 weeks($50)

So how do you use it to curl??? Just wrap your hair around it like a curling iron? And you need to use the thin ones right?

It is called "Hot Tools 1" ceramic flat iron"..... plates for any hair length, even bangs. 170 watts of power with ceramic plates that preserve moisture, eliminate frizz and damaging hot spots.


You can buy them at Sally's Beauty Supply if you have one local or you can order them online.

Just wrap it around like a curl iron making sure you run the flat iron all the way to end of the hair to get the bottom of hair and basically wind it up as high as you want the wave to go. The bigger the section the bigger the curl or wave. If you want small curls take really small sections. Make sure you spray your hair with a flat iron protective spray first.

I use a flatiron or curling iron just about every day of life. Remarkably, my hair is not dead or damaged (at least it doesn't look it)-- I attribute this to the ceramic construction of both appliances. Is this true? (I do not usually use the flat iron protective spray).

I use both metal and ceramic and honestly I think as long as you are not holding it on your hair you won't burn it...I still recommend the protective spray because it helps keep it smooth too.
