Hi from IL!!

Hi there!! I just signed up yesterday and thought I would check things out. Just wanted to say HI! Also I will tell you a little bit about myself! I am 24 and live in IL. I am waiting oh so patiently for my boyfriend to give me my engagement ring!!! He took me at Christmas time to pick out the one I wanted and it just came back from getting sized last night and I am dying for him to "ask" me. Today is our 3 year anniversary also! So I am thinking, maybe just maybe tonight may be the night!! :p I found this site when I was looking for sites talking about wedding ideas. I am looking for all the ideas you have!! Especially ways to save money since we will be paying for almost everything on our own. Well, I should get going now. Talk to you soon!

Congratulations on your three year anni and good luck to you on getting "the ring". :D

As for tips and hints, I'm sure we can most definitely help you out there. I married this past October and did my own flowers (well my hubby did :D ) and our own invitations. So if you need any help let me know!

And as far as help with the wedding plans...I know I will need them!!! I was thinking I would try to do my own invitations... and my mom does flowers, so I am covered there!!!

I am from Rockford...have you heard of it? It's north of Chicago....about 90 miles away. It's a pretty big city....I would love to move away but we are staying in this area for awhile. :rolleyes:

Amber if your having a smaller wedding I'd say doing your own invites can be a lot of fun! We did our own and had a ball, not to mention how many compliments I received on them. ;) I also just received my thank you's in the mail, I did them in Photoshop and sent them to a printer. IF you need any help let me know, I'd be more than happy to help you out. I had a link to a really cute "Save The Date" idea I'll dig up and post in the craft section. ;)
