I haven't ambled into a "Ladies Only" forum have I ?

I have looked through some of the various forums & especially liked the Recipe forums. I do a lot of cooking myself - Both inside & outside. Some of your recipes sound mouth-watering, finger-licking good ! I will try to post some of my own that I have developed from scratch or from other recipes that I have changed.
I am in Texas, BTW. (Near Dallas)

I have to admit we (women) are a majority here, but you are not alone. Even if you were, would that be such a bad thing? ;) See, there used to be a "weddingtalkers" forum and a "babytalkers" forum until we decided to combine the home/baby and eliminate weddings so that is why you see an abundance of women here. :D Men don't usually flock to those types of boards, but now that we've changed the focus over to HOME/LIFE & FAMILY, we are hoping to increase the number of men here as well. So welcome, welcome, welcome!!! We look forward to hearing more from you. :D

Hey N5RDC!!! :wave: Welcome to HT!!! Like Csara mentioned, we used to have three boards (2 of which were mostly women), so that's why you see so many of us here. Hopefully, that will be changing though! It's always nice to have a man's perspective on much of what we discuss here.

Majority women, but my hubby pops in occasionally as well as a few other men. I'll be looking for you in the food forum, so happy to see an outdoor cook, my hubby and I are pretty new to outdoor cooking, so I'm going to have to ask you for a few tips and recipes. :D

Thanks, Csara ! - I noticed that you are in Florida. - I Admin a Voy Forums board that is a spinoff of the old MSNBC Miami board. - Not very busy now, but some very fine folks there, & some of us stay in close email & telephone contact.
I also have another Voy forum where I & others post computer tips & tricks for Novices. (Although not limited to computers)
I think I will enjoy my stay here.

You're not alone. Csara cooks alot of the recipes here and 99% of them I like. Very fun doing taste tests. I enjoy the concept of cooking myself. Note I said concept, because I'm kicked out whenever shes starts her oven up.

I don't really have that problem, Jester. - My wife would rather that I do the cooking, but she does get PO'ed when I sometimes sneak into the kitchen & "fix" something she's cooking.
For the last few years I have cooked dinner on Thanksgiving & she has cooked on Christmas.
She never used to like broccoli or mushrooms untill she tried my broccoli & cheese sauce & mushroom gravy. (Sometimes I cheat & chunk in some cauliflower with the broccoli).
I have a great recipe for ribeye steak that I will post later.

Welcome! My husband likes to cook, too, but he's too busy playing games to check out these boards. I don't really care for cooking, but I'm trying to do it anyway as hubby works a lot.

My husband is the only cook in our house. I mean I could find my way around a kitchen better than Melissa on Joe Millionaire, but I hate cooking. I wash the dishes in return. Welcome to the board!

I'd like to say hello to all of you. I'm new as you can see. My husband{n5rdc} has already made himself at home, so thought I'd drop in. He does do most of the cooking, he's a better cook than I am. I love to cook, but don't have the time. By the time I get off work, I'm too tired to cook. Or don't want to,lol.
I hope I can make some new friends here. It seems like a good place to visit.
