Thanx for the warm welcome back!!!:D

I'm on my lunch break right now so I will try to get you all updated as much as possible .............

:inlove: The Hubby is GREAT!
:cat: The "Kids" (our cats) are Great!

:clap:I got a new job around the end of September!!!! It is GREAT!!!! It is at an office supply store (we also sell copiers), we have 2 locations and I am at the main one. I mostly do the accounts payable, but also help out with other stuff (walk in customers, ordering from vendors, etc.) The hours are the best! Monday - Friday, 8 - 5. NO more weekends or holidays!!!!!

The Money Pit (our house) is still standing...... ;)
We have moved into a rental house for a while ......... our next step is to fix the foundation and we decided it would be much easier to move out while we do that!

Well......... I guess those are the highlights of the time I was MIA from Home Talkers!

Congrats on the job! Great hours! I'm sure that's a really nice change. Good luck with the house. What a pain that you have to deal with it at all.

What do you hafta do to the foundation of yer house?

Well.......... it was made out of gypsum-rock (there is a ton of it in this area)... problem is after it gets wet it starts to weaken. In case anyone isn't sure what gypsum is, it is the stuff they make wall board/sheet rock out of. Pretty much turns to mush when it gets too wet. ... Well, we have found several bad spots and figure it will be better in the long run to fix all of it rather than just the bad spots. That way we don't run the risk of more repairs a few years down the line, after the rest of the house is complete.

So........ in the end we will have a BRAND NEW house.......... with a few pieces that are a hundred and some years old.!:D

I see! It'll be lovely when done! My bro and SIL have to redo their cracked foundation too. They're hoping it won't be too destructive on the rest of the house but are holding off on things like new flooring and windows till they get it done.
