hi girls... i have a ?

my question is that i own an invitation design company and would love to be able to post that i work a little in the wedding industry and will help if i can if they need answers to invite or wed stuff. (i noticed the wedding thread) am i weird that i just won't post that?! geez

i just have this little feeling like i don't want anyone to take it the wrong way, you know, that i am mentioning MY business, but i would offer advice to a friend if they asked. does that make any sense??

thanks

Hey Veda. I actually run an invitation business as well, I sell them part time from my home. There is a link to one of my online stores on the front page. eInvite.com (http://www.einvite.com/select/department.asp?DeptID=Wedding&Cobrand=E1434&CompanyType=eInvite) (Checkerboard) is one of the only companies I carry that actually has an online store. I wish they all did, as it would be much easier to sell. :)

Anyway, you are more than welcome to post in the wedding section and offer your help/advice to the girls planning their weddings. I'm sure they would very much appreciate it. I just prefer that you do not offer to sell your products here, that's all. Thank you. :)

thanks i wouldn't USE the board like that!!! just don't want people to think that i'm some kinda FREAKBRIDE in knowing more than the average person should about wedding invites!

well, sadly i've been on this place more than working today, just NEEDED a break today i guess. did i read that your cat-child is named janice?? i have a black lab (my daughter) who's names janis! hmmm...

so, thanks for the info, i just have never been too good about mixing much business with pleasure... la tee dah

lol too funny. Yep, my baby's name is Janice. She came with her name and I did not want to rob her of her identity so it stuck. She actually was named after Janis Joplin so it should be spelled that way, but I kinda liked the "ice" better. :)

Oh, Veda ... On my <shutter> 30th BD .. Someone asked how old I was ... I started studdering like a fool! LOL I couldn't even say the word! Now, at the ripe old age of 39 ... It IS just a number ... um, right? LOL!

*sniff* thanks gramma, you always know what to say.

really though, i do remember thinking "holy S#(T, i'm a quarter of a CENTURY old today" when i turned 25. now 25 seems so springy!

but truthfully, i don't think of everything as it is, measured by our common system of "age". its more that i am constantly amazed by the details of my friend's lives and amazed by the fact that every moment of every day, things happen and change and grow and are born and die, you know? its just cool to me how time is, and the energies behind it all that come with each decision we make, as individuals, as a nation, as a world, as a universe... consciously or sub. i guess i tend to measure things more in terms of passion and accomplishments, experiences, etc. than age.

well, that certainly was a tangent!

just wanted to say "thanks" for the thoughtful words of wisdom

AWW Veda no prob..
What amazes me is the knowledge I have gained with every year I have aged. It's not like book knowledge its just things that pop into my head out of know where. I am always amazed at the new things I learn everyday. What I really think is happening is that when I was younger I was so into other things, I never sat back and thought about the little things. Today, I savor each day as if it were my last, I think about people and things everyday. And at night I ask myself did I hurt anybodys feelings today? Cause if I did I want to try and make it up to them tomorrow....
Ok, I am rambling ,, just something us Gramma's do now a days..
