Chocolate Pots du Creme
1/4 lb. semi sweet chocolate
4 egg yolks
1 cup milk or cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbs. of sugar if necessary (to taste)
whipped cream for a garnish
Melt the chocolate and milk or cream in a double boiler, gently. Stir to combine. Remove from the heat. Beat the egg yolks well. Add the yolks to the chocolate mixture and stir until thick and glosssy. Add the sugar if you don't think it tastes sweet enough. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Pour into custard cups and refrigerate. Just before serving top with a little whipped cream.
