We bought our new house last August. It was a brand new home. Not long after we moved in, one of the light fixtures mounted to the ceiling on our front porch (which runs across the entire front of the house) started dripping water.
We called the warranty company and they came out and fixed a hole on the roof at the corner of the roof and the house that was not closed up when they built it.
Recently, we have noticed that along the 1 x 4 ‘s, which cover the seams on the front porch ceiling, there is mold or mildew.
We had the warranty company send out a plumber to fix toilet problems today and my husband mentioned the porch to him. The guy told Mike to walk out into the front yard with him and told him to look at the front of the house. The whole ceiling on the porch is bowed down (like from water weight)!
I’m not sure, but that’s probably why I’ve been having headaches for 3 months since I came back home in January!
The guy said they’ll have to most likely rip all that down and go in and clean it and replace it.
It may be inside the house too!
