Oh no! I hope he's ok. Man that is kinda scary. I've watched some programs on Discovery channel where people get bite by super poisonous snakes... Hope fh is doing OK!

egads. I cannot imagine having a snake as a pet. Ack. (a wee bit of a phobia). What kind is the biter? Not poisonous?

Ouch. I hope fh is doing okay. I could never imagine getting bit by a snake. First of all I would never be that close to one.

I’m so sorry he got bit. Glad he’s okay.

I’m phobic about snakes too. I’m also of the mindset that there are certain animals that are not meant to be pets. Just as some people try to keep Tigers and bears and other kinds of wild animals and end up getting bitten or worse…

I don’t think anyone deserves to be bitten or attacked, but animals are unpredictable and you never, ever know exactly what they’ll do, even our domestic pets – like cats and dogs, right Deana?

thanks guys for checking in.. he is ok.. when i claimed down from it all i looked it up on the internet and it said that a boa's bite is no worse then a cat scratch.

no suzie he is not poisonous if he was i dont think we could own them.

I did find this on a website we always go to

You can also expect some bruising in the area because of bleeding under the skin. In any case, falling off a bike and skinning-up your hands or knees is a much more severe wound than a snake bite.

oh yeah something else i was going to add is the webpage also said because she is a constrictor we shouldnt worry about the bite because They kill their prey by wrapping around it and constricting its breathing. so we would have to worry if she wrapped around our necks... but we wont let her around them to begin with LOL

but thanks everyone

Yeah, a Boa's bite while painful isn't poisionus. Our neighbor growing up had huge ones, I can't imagine being biten by one. OUCH!

They get almost too big!!! Our neighbor said he had to get rid of them when what they ate turned his stomach. If ya catch my drift. I don't know what you feed yours {and I don't want to :gag: } but he had to feed it some cute little critters. :(

well you do have a choice when they are that big they said to feed it that.... but if you feed them two very large (something gross rats ) you dont have to feed them cute things.... make sense LOL
