I am just asking because my FIL has decided that his suit is fine to wear to our wedding.
I'm sorry but for the one time that your son is getting married you can't wear a tux???

For our wedding, my father wore a tux and my stepfather wore a suit. He asked ahead of time if I minded, which I didn't, we married in an Inn so I didn't see the need for a tux. :D

The guys in our party wore what was called a tux, but actually looked more like a very classy and expensive suit. They didn't have "tux" shirts, and they wore a regular tie. The guys all wore a black on black (subtly) patterned vest underneath as well. That was my hubby's choice. He was not into the traditional tux style at all. My dad got a similar tux to the guys. I was actually happy that the guys chose that because we had thirteen guys with all different body types. My brother-in-law is very short, and has a very small frame, and our friend is six-foot-five and over three hundred pounds, not to mention all the guys in between. Some guys just don't look as good wearing a tux as they do a suit. All of our guys looked extremely handsome in the suit-style tux my hubby chose, and it really didn't look any less formal than the traditional tux did. Of course, hubby looked the best to me!;) It's a great style that looks good in a formal or less formal wedding.

We are getting married in a church....
I wouldn't mind I guess if he wears a dark suit.....but the one I have seen him wear several times is gray and shiny!
I am hoping a least that he gets something normal!
