Did your relationship with your inlaws change when you have children?? If so then in what way?

W/ my ex inlaws YES. I hated them even more.
They treated my ex H like crap but hey, he was a grown man. He could deal.
The ex outlaws bought Darek a walker when he was a baby. Mind you the ONLY thing besides his baby bed they ever bought him until we were divorced. The piece of junk dropped w/ him ( ya know how they fold up? It would just fold up while he was in it)
I threw it out and got another one. My child's safety comes first. They flipped out saying they would NEVER buy him anything else. Fine with me. :moon:holes.

No. They pretend to be grandparents only on occasions. The ex FIL (a**hole) takes him fishing about twice a year. The ex MIL (b****) does nothing.
If and when they feel froggy they'll come to a birthday party and stay for no more than 10 minutes. Even tho they keep their other grandchildren all the time and buy them anything they want. It would make me sick if I cared. Darek is much better off not really knowing those poor excuses for human beings.
Darek never mentions them. As a matter of fact the few times when he was a baby and the ex IL's tried to hold him he screamed like crazy. I think kids/babies sense who really loves them and who doesn't.

Yes somewhat they seemed a little warmer.
They live three hours away so we don't see them often.

They're different anyway.......I don't agree with a lot of things they do.
My MIL used to give me the best advice of what to do with Ethen when he was first born!
They buy him weird gifts all the time too.....
But I do have to admit that they are a lot nicer than when DF and I were just living together without our son.
