Stone Walls

Has anyone had a stone fence/wall put up around your yard? Or built one yourself? How did it go? How many people did it take? Would you recommend hiring a team or is a project that four adults can handle? How's the wall doing now & how old is it? Did you treat it? thx

We have one from 1890. :D

Its actually time to repair parts of it, we have a chipmunk and ivy problem here and its loosened the stones. We are hiring someone to fix it. As for building one, I haven't a clue, sorry Veda, but I think its a big job. :D

YES! Thats why we want a stone wall! They look AWESOME & seem to last forever with minimal repair time/money. Funny you think its a big job too... we were watching DIY channel & they had five or six HUGE guys lugging & placing these enormous stones & all the while they kept saying things about how simple this job really is & that you can easily DO IT YOURSELF!! :biglaugh: Bf & I joked about our five-year long stone wall building project! haha Hey, is T available in about five weeks?? ;)
