I am helping host a adult halloween party for a bunch of friends. We have pretty much taken care of everything but the drinks and the appetizers. Do you guys have any ideas on halloween themed or related drinks and appetizers? We are looking for things that look scary but taste good.:lick:

Glycol Punch
Serving Size: Varies

Notes:
This punch has a fantastic color. The punch also tastes pretty good. If you want an excellent effect for punch this is the one to go for. Diet Mountain Dew produces the best color.

Ingredients:
2 liters of Diet Mountain Dew
1 pkg. Blue Kool-Aide prepared

Preparation:
In a large punch bowl add the Diet Mountain Dew. Add in enough of the prepared Blue Kool-Aide to obtain the Glycol color. We obtained our color with about 3 cups of Kool-Aide.

**Adding dry ice directly to the punch will make a fog on the top of the punch. Many grocery stores sell dry ice.

**Also to make more adult friendly, maybe you can add alcohol.

Frozen Hand

Serving Size: 1

Notes:
This is a great addition to punch!

Ingredients:
1 qt. water
food coloring of your choice (red, blue, green)
1 rubber or sturdy plastic glove
1 rubber band

Preparation:
Make sure you rinse the glove well if you intend to put this into something that will be consumed. Some rubber gloves come with a fuzzy lining inside, avoid those! Place 1 quart of water in a bowl, and add food coloring of your choice. For a witch you might want to add green, or for a space alien you might want to add blue. Pour colored water into glove, tie off glove with a rubber band. Lay glove on its side in your freezer, and freeze overnight. It is a good idea to put the glove on a cookie sheet, or in a large flat container, as a bit of the liquid may leak. When frozen solid remove, and place into punch.

There are a bunch of other Halloween themed recipes on KidsKuisine.com (http://kidskuisine.com/asp/recipe_seasonal.asp). Despite the name, they look cool for an adult party too.

Last year I did deviled eggs, but used a little red food coloring on a toothpick and made little lines on the white part of the egg, not the yolk, and made it seem like red blood shot eyeballs, then I put a black olive in the middle for the pupil. They turned out cute. You could take a recipe or can of bread sticks and roll them out to finger shapes, put a blanched almond or red dyed almond in the top for a finger nail, maybe use them to dip in a fondue?

Here are some more ideas.........
