Hi everyone -
I need to know if it is possible (and if yes, how?) to transplant an ornamental plum tree.
My situation is - I am in Kansas City, Missouri. I have an eight foot tall ornamental plum that has not lost it's leaves yet, but they have started to change. I am doing a bathroom remodel that will force me to cut down this tree or move it (I love this tree so option one is bad!!). I want to move it about four feet. I assume the rootball will be heavy and can use a block and tackle to transfer it to it's new hole. And last, but not least, I have to do it on or before November 7th. The remodel will start on the 8th.
I sure would appreciate any advice on this!!!
Thanks - Colin
