I am fuming!

Today is Halloween. Yesterday, a local teenager, (but now in college) approached a friend of ours who has a farm with lots of barn cats. She asked the farmer if he had any kittens she could have. Smart to her sickening plans, the farmer told her "No, I have no kittens. All my cats are wild and they'd never let you catch them." She left. Can you imagine what she was planning to do with the kittens! I hear so many horror stories of how cats are tortured on Halloween! It makes me so sick to my stomach and down right angers me to the bone!:fmad:

People who do such terrible things like this to animals for "fun" or other sick entertainment, should have the same done to them!

We are keeping our cat inside this whole week. What is this world coming to?

I don't blame you for being so angry.

There are so many animals who are abused. The abusers have to live with themselves but after they leave this earth, they have to answer to God.

She was gonna torture the kittens? Are you sure? That's awful. Can you imagine?

We once had a cat dipped in pine tar on Halloween... not sure why... but I *think* the next step would have been lighting the little guy on fire? But he got away, thankfully.

I heard that our local humane society wouldn't let any animals be adopted for like a week or two before Halloween this year. You could still come look and everything, but you couldn't take them home till like Monday after Halloween.

I thought that was a pretty good idea...

Yes, giving her the benefit of the doubt, she may have been innocently wanting kittens. But our friend wasn't taking any chances with it being so close to Halloween and all. This girl is a neighbor of his. She hangs with the "bad" crowd and has been giving her parents problems. She's never shown an interest before in his barn cats.

Our local Human Society did the same thing with banning cat adoptions until after Halloween. Luckily we didn't here of any awful abuse during Halloween.
