WTH? Every single time we have made an appointment for someone to do a job on our home, they either show up 5 hours late without calling or don't show up at all and when we call, they say they have to reschedule. I've had contractors do this numerous times, even rescheduling the rescheduled appointment. Why is this ok for them to do?? Are they really THAT busy? Why is their time more important than mine? I mean can't they just pick up their freakin cell phone and let me know they either can't make it or are running late?? What is so hard! I have been sitting around all day waiting for this guy to come pressure clean my roof. I called about 4 hours ago and left a voice mail. He called me back an hour later and said he was on his way. Hello!! That was like 3 hours ago!

First of all, they are a dime a dozen around here. It's not like they are in such demand because the supply is limited, yk? If he doesn't show up in a few hours, I'm calling someone else. Not that it won't happen with the next guy, but why would I want to pay someone who has no regard for his customers?? JERKS! :p

I'd tell him when he gets there, sorry I found someone else, see ya!

If he didn't show up within the hour he said without calling me, I'd find someone else. There's no excuse for that kind of behavior. Even the cable company doesn't promise they'll be there at 10am sharp. It's more like sometime between 8am and Noon.

Stupid contractors!

They suck! I'd let him get out of the truck with all his crap and tell him politely "oh, I didn't think you were coming... I've hired someone else.... SEE YA! Wouldn't wanna be ya!"

Ok, maybe don't say that, but you get the jist.:p

LOL...so does this only happen to me??? Or is this a common occurrence?

Meanwhile, the guy JUST called (5:07pm) and asked if anyone had come by yet. My husband said no and the guy said "Thanks" and hung up. Strange!

Haha, while I'm in the middle of writing this post, another guy called back and said to my husband "is your mom home?" and he was like "uhh, no but my wife is". :biglaugh: Anyway, apparently his car broke down so they are coming first thing tomorrow a.m. Yea, we'll see......

It's happened to me.

But recently, he did not show up AT ALL. I called him and his number had been disconnected. He would have made $620.00 from me too. Guess he didn't need the $$$.

I thought this only happened to us! It's horrible. And in our town, all the contractors are the same. So you can't find a better one, and you have to suffer through or never get the job done.

I think all around ... customer service is miserable ...

C, having just moved, let me tell you, it happens everywhere! I am in the process of writing a letter complaining to our builders for all the crap we've had to put up with! It's ridiculous!

Well thankfully they did show up bright and early this morning. It's such a shame that so many of these contractors act this way. Not a very good rep to have, but since they are all the same, there isn't much you can do about it. You need the job done so unfortunately you just have to deal with it.

Glad someone finally showed up. My aunt and uncle are going thru the same thing. They are having house built and the builders only show up when they want  This has went on for around 9months. My aunt and uncle have already been paying the mortgage since the max amount of extensions have ran out. My uncle is plotting their murder right about now. It's really sad that ppl who get paid to do a job would do this. If they don't want to come in, do the work, get their money, and leave then they shouldn't take on the job. Especially don't say they'll be there at a time/date and call to reschedule hours after they could have the job 1/2 or completely finished. That's horrible! If they don't do it right :vent: curse 'em a few times for me too!

I would file a complaint with your state's attourney general. What they are doing is completely unacceptable and they deserve to have a fire lit under their:moon:
