Hi !

A mont ago I ricieved the present for my birthday. An lucky bamboo in a tower shape - 4 levels
with a lot of stalks. I read on the web about the lucky bamboo car and I followed all the directions.
I keep it in my room that have about 22-25 Celsius. I avoid direct sun light and every 3 or 4 days I
add some watter because some quantity of watter evaporate from time to time. I use distilzed watter
instead of watter from the tap. From one moth ago till now i had to remove 3 smaller stalks because
they turned yellow and soft from the top towards down. In the bottom the stalks where still green.
The same thing happened also to one of the bigger stalks. I noticed that some stalks have a little
black points on the stralks. I dont know if this is the main reason for what it happened. Some
stalks have this black points but they are still green and health.

I dont know what is happening to my lucky bamboo.
In spite of all the problems, the stalks that are health , the leaves grow very well.
I dont know how to avoid that some other stalk die. Now i removed all the stalks that where illness.
Do I have to change all the watter and clean the container of my lucky bamboo ?
Do I have to use some liquid fertilizer?

Thanks for your answers.

I bought some lucky bamboo over a year ago and all I did was put it in a container and keep the container filled with water. It has more than doubled in size. I know that they don't like a lot of sun. I'm not sure what the black spots are.

I would trim off teh black spots, change the water, using purified water instead of tap water. As far as liquid fertilizer goes I have never used it so I'm not sure if it works or not. After doing a web search I found this site: lots of good instructions.
