This industry is wacked! I swear it's a license to print $. I know... I got sucked in as everyone does... and to be honest I wouldn't change a thing. But check this out.
My sis who is being married in April just put this into perspective for me. She is decorating the church with swags of tulle (from pew to pew-- gonna be cool). She bought like 40 meters for 70$ or so. Which was about $1.70/metre. The cost of her tulle veil made of the exact same tulle? $147/metre. HAHA. That plastic comb and 20 cents worth of beads really add up.:)
Now *that's* perspective.:) A person could get rich off of making veils couldn't they?

I see a new career in the making for me :D
I'm quite the little handy crafty one - I could bring in the dough! I see lots of white tulle in my future.
A funny note about tulle - I used to work as a Deco. Consultant in a fabric store, and one day this lady came up to me and said "I need a bolt of toile" - so I start pointing out all my toile fabrics, I had loads in stock, and she starts gettting all huffy and yelling at me "I need toile! I need toile! I don't know why you keep showing me all of this tulle when I asked for toile!" She called me a bunch of names on our walk to the back of the store and then I asked "Is this what you want?" she says "Yes! Its what I asked for, isn't it?!" I gave her the price, and she got mad about that, so she started screaming about how expensive were we and how I shouldn't be working in a fabric store if I don't know the difference between toile and tulle.... so she left in a huff, still not knowing the difference between the two - I sure as heck wasn't going to tell her after her little display :D.

Oh - depending on the type of beads used, they can run from cheap little plastic white ones 100 for a dollar to hand made glass beads for $20 each (I do bead work). So sometimes the beads really do add that much onto the price, but not usually.

Gor for it FG! I'd buy one from ya. *Next* time I get married I'll look you up.;)
And I am gonna console sis with the idea that the beads are expensive... this is distressing to her.
