shrimp cocktail dip

I have a friend who's mom made a shrimp cocktail dip. It was cream cheese maybe something else with it??? and cocktail sauce drizzled over that then put baby shrimp on top...you dip a ritz cracker in

I've made something similar with crab, using a block of cream cheese, pouring cocktail sauce over top, then crabmeat, sometimes I whip up the cream cheese to make it "dipping" consistancy with a little cream, pour that into a pie dish, then layer the cocktail sauce and then the crab. Don't know why you couldn't do it with shrimp. :huh:
