I live in Pa near Philadelphia. Can I start planting seedlings indoors yet or should I wait?

What is it that you are looking to plant? I'm in the philly burbs, well wayyyyyy outside of Philly, 45 minutes and I planted seeds outside. I started shasta daisies, marigolds, black eyed susans, gaillardia, cabbage, pansies, violas, echinacea, the list goes on. :D
Tell me what your looking to start indoors, and I'll tell ya if you can start it outdoors.
Some stuff shouldn't be started to soon, our plant out date isn't until late May, so your seedlings wouldn't get the proper sunlight, unless you have lamps.

Peas, herbs, and marigolds can be winter sown, if you'd like to do them that way, let me know and I'll help you out on how to do it. If you want to wait a bit peas can be directly sown into the ground when it can be worked, it depends on which seeds you are planning on doing. Herbs you can start indoors, but should wait till its closer to summer, check which herbs you want to grow and it should tell you on the package when to sow them.
Me, I started my basil, parsley, and cilantro outside, covered with snow and all, we'll see if it works for me!
