Snickerdoodles

Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for this absolutely delicious cookie? I have tried several recipes lately, and none of them are the perfect recipe - which is what I want :D

This has been a family favorite since 1966...Enjoy!

Snickerdoodles

Mix: 3/4 c. Wesson Oil
1 1/2c. sugar
2 eggs

Sift: 2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well and chill, roll in hands to make balls teaspoon size, then roll in 2 tsp. cinnamon and 2 tsp. sugar. Bake 10 minutes at 350*.

UMMMMMMMM, Vanilla Sugar Cookies! I adore these and haven't had any in years. My family just doesn't care for them. I do, and, with grated orange zest added.

Girl, you have really got my cookie craving going. Again, though, for a cookie my family doesn't care for----Hermits. Big, soft Hermits straight from the oven with a glass of iced, cold milk.

um, guess what I'll be doing tomorrow? Yep, baking cookies. Snickerdoodles for sure and probably Chocolate Chip. [and, maybe a batch of one family doesn't like----mmmm, all to myself! mmmmm
