i would love to see pics of the dresses of those already married and those brides to be! I hated my dress in my "last minute" wedding so i'll just post my vow renewal dress! ( going to purchase it this march! i'm so excited!!)

I LOVED my dress! I found it at House of Zanes...the owner had just got back from market in New York and bought this and several others when she found out she was pregnant. Her husband wanted her to close the shop and be a SAHM....so she marked everything way down and had a huge sale! The tag on my dress was $850.....I got it for $200!!!!

The only difference was I had my seamstress make spaghetti straps for me (the thicker ones didn't look as good).

Funny story.....they (Rob Thomas and his wife Marisol) were featured on the InStyle Celebrity Weddings special a few months before mine and hubby's wedding. Well, I was freaking out that she was wearing the same dress I had, but couldn't let hubby know. I also didn't want to know if he liked it or not b/c I was afraid of him possibly saying no, ya know? I would have been so upset. I actually didn't want to ask anyone what they thought "just in case" and I knew all of my friends were probably watching so that was a little weird for me. But, I absolutely LOVED my dress. I guess I had too much fun at my wedding though, cuz it's all stained. :(

My aunt made mine. It was based off of Belle's gold ball gown in Beauty & The Beast (my fave movie of all time). She even had a little statue of it next to her while she was working on it. she even started making the gloves but we decided they wouldn't look right so she left them unfinished. She did give me all the left over material (even the undone gloves) afterwards. I don't know if I have a pick online so I'll find a good on & scan it in later.

BTW, mine cost about $200 as well since I only had to pay for the materials.

and the "detail". Before I got married, I worked for a Photographer, so when I bought my dress, the first thing I did was take it to the studio and take pictures of it!!!!:D
