I am tring to get a list together of what I need to do for my spring cleaning . I got the itch today to open every window in the house but seeing as I am in PA I do not think that is a good idea.:p

What are your lists and when do you plan to start?

I'm painting everything... except the kitchen, since we just did that over the summer, lol. And I've already started.

Shampoo the carpet
regrout the shower tile
lay new floor tile in the hallway, bathroom and 2 bedrooms
donating old clothes (done!)
donating old books (done!)
getting hubby to get rid of 2 computers (been trying that for 2 years)
getting new ext. doors for the front and back
cleaning all of the windows (ugh! I hate washing windows, lol)
All 3 bedrooms, the living room, the hallway, and the bathroom are getting fresh paint
deep cleaning all of the furniture and also the mattress
cleaning out all of the air ducts (we're hiring that out)
reorganization of our office - building new desk and tossing the old
and everything is getting a good scrub down... I swear, we have the dustiest house ever.

It seems like a lot, but its not really. The painting will be the worst, but I've already started on that. Finding the right colors is the hard part, lol. I'm trying to get the house in tiptop shape, so when it comes time to sell, we'll be ready (I'm ready to sell now! I want out of this town!).

steam clean carpets (done! We did this last weekend and they look so good!)

Paint garage floor

clean out all junk drawers in the kitchen

re-organize my laundry/storage room

Clean out front hall closet (my nemesis)

go through old linens/towels and give to goodwill

I think that's it for now:D

And oh yeah... I forgot the worst of it.

Repainting the outside of the house and the garage. We won't do that until early summer though. I'm dreading it!

I love spring :elephant: I don't like the cleaning part of it tho

As of now I'm trying to get things knocked out......the big things before I have surgery. Cabinets, closets, old clothes, etc... Get the walls washed down and the ceilings dusted for painting. Tommy's going to paint and clean the carpets. I'm going to lay on the couch and supervise :D

heeheee. Well it's -35 again here... so I'm jumping the gun.:) Thank gawd that rodent didn't see his shadow. I'm not organized enough to officially "spring clean" but we will wash all the blankets... and clean the cupboards... and I am eagerly looking forward to putting all my winter crap away. Too many boots and mitts and coats kicking around, and I am soooo sick of all my winter clothes. And I CANNOT WAIT for the windows to thaw out (they are frozen shut) and to have a nice sunny WARM day so that we can open the windows and patio door and get this stale ole place aired out.

I cannot wait to open all my windows and let the breeze come through!!
I have already done my clean sweep of the house. Yesterday I was going to take the flannel sheets off the beds, but when I woke up and it was 0 outside, I thought I'd wait another week or so.
I can't wait to clean my glass. The doors and windows need it so bad. That's really about it. Dh does all the outside work. I like to help a little, but I am so deathly afraid of snakes, I hate to be near bushes.

I am glad I'm not the only one dreading the painting! However, I am just as excited- it gives such a fresh and clean look to everything! I just picked out some colors today so I've taken the first step. Deep cleaning the couch is a whole other thing though  My older dog has made it his bed and I don't have the heart to kick him off!!! If anyone has any suggestions for cleaning couches I'm all for hearing them!!
