Scratched Toilet Bowl

I am so annoyed.

Just recently, my toliet wouldn't flush properly. I tried everything, and then resorted to my landlord to fix it.

Well... he fixed it... It must have had some small clog that a plunger couldn't take care of.

But in the process, he used a pipe snake in the toliet and scratched the hell out of the inside of the bowl. All these black scratch marks on the porcelin toliet bowl. It looks hideous!

I tried using soap and water, i tried Pinesol. I even tried bleach.

Nothing is working. Does anyone have any sugestions?

If the marks aren't coming off perhaps the paint is chipped. I don't know how you'd fix that. Have you talked to your landlord about it? Since you are renting, the toilet is his property so unless he is really cool and feels like replacing the bowl for you, unfortunately there isn't much you can do. Sorry. :(

I looked around online... and then... I went to the grocery store.

I bought Barkeepers Best Friend.

Went home, drained the toliet bowl, put some of this stuff on, and with mild elbow grease the mark came right off.

This stuff is amazing!:p

What is that Barkeeper or whatever you brought that cleaned toilet? Also metal marks on glass, china, white enamel sinks, etc remove easily with baking soda. Gald you found something that worked. Mapa: ;)

I just went to do a quick search and found this thread ,I scratched a bowl while cleaning it with a new brush GRRRR ..And didnot know what I was going to do to fix it .Thanks Ill try it ,if I can get it here in MI. havent searched for it yet ,instead joined this forum!

I love it and still use it and will till they either dont sell anymore or I cant clean!
